Thank you for diving into this and making me feel less alone and confused.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your journey, Grace. I know how hard that can me. It’s so hard to feel misunderstood on top of all the other things you’re going through. The best thing I’ve found for weight loss is focusing on balancing my blood sugar by eating protein fat and fiber every day. I aim for 120g of protein and 30g of fiber each day. I’m launching a PCOS planner this fall that has EVERYTHING you need to manage pcos and all it’s symptoms. I really think you’ll love it so stay tuned for that!

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19, but had been struggling with the symptoms since I was 12. I’ve never had a regular period, but the weight gain was what caused me to ask. I was a swimmer since 4th grade, but I only ever got bigger. No one else in my family has PCOS, so I just felt like there was something wrong with me. Thankfully I never had an eating disorder, but I remember distinctly going to my pediatrician in 7th grade where he told me to go keto, and said to “eat sticks of butter like candy bars”. Needless to say, I did not follow his advice, especially since we tested my thyroid and it had no issues. When I got my diagnosis I felt relieved more than anything. It’s hard to be the only one in your family over 200lbs and this allowed me to understand why. Since my diagnosis, I was able to keep my weight consistent, but I had no idea where to start on losing it. I hope to reach my weight loss goal with the help of your recipes, and other tricks i learn here. I’m ready to start my journey. Thank you so much!

I’ve been having a hard time coming up with things to do with the veggies and doing the same things over and over gets tiring as you know. I was officially diagnosed when I was 22, it has been affecting me since I was 18. I am now 25 going on 26 this year.
